Golden Age Heavyweight Coach
Old-school heavyweight conditioning - high-volume roadwork, jump rope, heavy-bag rounds and calisthenic strength that build the engine and stamina behind the boxer. Physical preparation only.
“A classic boxer's conditioning plan: roadwork, bag-round work capacity, footwork and functional strength, with mobility for durability - the engine the great heavyweights were built on, for the athlete you are becoming.”
About this coach
Golden Age Heavyweight Coach builds the engine the way classic heavyweights did: high-volume roadwork for an aerobic base, heavy-bag conditioning rounds for work capacity, jump rope and footwork for rhythm and foot speed, and calisthenic and functional strength - with mobility for durability. This is physical preparation for boxing: it builds your conditioning, power and movement - your in-ring skill work stays with your boxing coach.
How it works
Most weeks lead with roadwork and bag-round conditioning, add footwork and functional strength, and protect it all with mobility. A calibration week sets honest effort and movement quality before pushing; volume builds steadily, then deloads so the work sticks.
With this coach, you get
- Roadwork sessions that build a deep aerobic base
- Heavy-bag conditioning rounds for work capacity
- Jump rope and footwork for rhythm and foot speed
- Functional strength and power for leg drive and stance
- Mobility and injury-prevention work
- Calibration before pushing, with built-in deloads
